Linda Carroll Barraud,
M.S., is a gentle and direct therapist who sees
life's struggles and difficult passages as opportunities
to deepen ourselves and better understand our life's
meaning. Her practice attracts motivated people who
want quality, depth, and practical-oriented psychotherapy.
A nationally licensed group psychotherapist and a licensed
supervisor for other therapists, Linda has worked extensively
with individuals, families, and couples since 1980.
Among her most rewarding activities have been the women's
groups she has facilitated with friends and colleagues
throughout the mainland United States, Hawaii, and New
Zealand. The current focus of her practice is individual
couples.
In her practice Linda makes use of an extensive blend
of interpersonal communication skills and traditional
and contemporary psychological theories, merged with
a transpersonal approach. She is a Master PAIRS teacher
and is certified in Holotropic Breathwork™ and
Transpersonal Psychology. She has studied Voice Dialogue
with Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone and has trained in the
Diamond Heart Work of A. Almaas. She also is certified
in the "Hot Monogamy" program after training
with Patricia Love, Ed.D.
Linda received a master's degree and completed all
course work toward a doctor's degree in counseling from
Oregon State University.
In addition to her practice she is also a writer. Her
first publication "Return to Essence, a Woman's
Spiritual Journey", a joint venture with photographer
Karen Ruckman, is soon to be released. She is also the
author of the memoir "Her Mother's Daughter", which was published by Doubleday in January, 2006
